Description
Features of ANTEC A40 Pro Single Tower
The ANTEC A40 Pro is designed to defeat the heat from your processor and allow it to have a much better and improved operation with the A40 PRO by ANTEC.
Designed for compatibility with leading desktop processor sockets, the A40 PRO supports the Intel Socket LGA 775/1150/1155/1156, and AMD Socket FM1/FM2/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2.
This performance CPU cooler features a whisper-quiet 92 mm LED pulse width modulation (PWM) fan and a large, aluminum heat fin structure with four embedded heat pipes, allowing your CPU to cool off efficiently.
The A40 Pro comes with four High-Performance Heat pipes Straight Touch copper-coated heat pipes that makes sure to provide full contact to the CPU, for more efficient heat transference.
The cooler comes with aluminum oxide coating on the top fin boosts the efficiency of heat transfer, and prevents oxidation.
One of the biggest features of the cooler is its universal compatibility with both Intel and AMD platforms, and the push-pin mounting system, and the included thermal paste that makes sure that you have a fast, easy and simple installation.
The fan dimensions of the cooler are 92 x 92 x 25 mm. The Cooler Dimensions are 100 x 75 x 136 mm making it compatible with most small form factor builds.
The included fan is rated for a speed of 800~2200 +/- 10% RPM and has a Fluid Dynamic Bearing. The fan is rated for a solid 38 CFM Air Flow. The recorded noise level during operation is16-23 dbA on average.
- The ANTEC A40 Pro comes with four direct-contact copper heat pipes. A 8mm thick copper cold plate ensures direct contact, which results in fast, and excellent heat dissipation. The heat from the CPU gets transferred to the heatsink rapidly.
- ANTEC A40 Pro comes with a unique heatsink design. It is a two tiered fin structure. This results in even better heat dissipation. Furthermore, the aluminum oxide coating results in avoiding corrosion.
- Compatibility is not something of concern with the ANTEC A40 Pro. It is compatible with most mainstream Intel, and AMD sockets.
- High pressure static Blue LED fan which is silent, and has great airflow as well.
- The installation process is very simple due to the wide number of brackets available.

Frequently asked questions
1. Is the ANTEC A40 Pro Single Tower or Dual Tower?
The ANTEC A40 Pro is a single tower CPU air cooler. That is, it has one heatsink tower with fins, as opposed to dual tower coolers, which have two. Single tower coolers are generally smaller and therefore easier to install in your computer case without colliding with other parts such as RAM. They are a reasonable option if you like solid cooling but not dual tower height. Dual towers will cool better but take up more space and can be more difficult to fit at times.
2. Is the ANTEC A40 Pro good enough?
The ANTEC A40 Pro is a sufficient cooler for most users, particularly if you have a mid-range processor and don't plan on doing heavy overclocking. Its single tower design provides it with a nice balance between cooling and compatibility with other computer hardware. It will likely be well-suited to CPUs in its TDP class. But if you're going to use an extreme performance CPU or you expect extreme overclocking, you can likely require more extreme cooling such as a dual tower or liquid cooler. Always upgrade your cooler with your CPU cooling requirements.
3. How many watts can an ANTEC A40 Pro handle?
ANTEC A40 Pro capacity to cool depends on its TDP rating. TDP determines how much watts your CPU draws as heat. A40 Pro accommodates a CPU within a specific range of TDP. You can see the range of its product data. It is critical to choose a cooler whose TDP rating is at least or higher than your CPU's TDP. This cools your CPU and avoids overheating, which can result in poor performance or destroy your computer in the long run.
4. Is ANTEC A40 Pro PWM or DC?
ANTEC A40 Pro employs a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) fan. PWM fans are superior to DC fans since they can adjust speed according to your CPU temperature. The fan is slow and silent when your CPU is cold and increases speed as your CPU gets hotter. This is an excellent trade-off between allowing your computer to run silently and stay cool. It also reduces your computer's power usage because the fan will only work as hard as required at any given time.
5. What is the RPM of the ANTEC A40 Pro fan?
The ANTEC A40 Pro fan speed is in RPM (revolutions per minute). The fan itself will have a low minimum to a high maximum RPM. You can refer to the product specifications to determine the precise RPM range. The fan adjusts speed according to your CPU temperature. If your CPU is loaded with a lot of work, the fan rotates at full speed to cool the CPU. If your CPU is idle, the fan rotates at low speed with little noise but still keeps the system cool.
6. What is the radiator size of the ANTEC A40 Pro?
The ANTEC A40 Pro is an air cooler and therefore does not have a radiator as a liquid cooler does. It has a heatsink with plenty of metal fins that dissipate heat from your CPU. The heatsink size is important because bigger heatsinks are better at distributing heat. The height, width, and depth of the heatsink can be seen in the product information. It is essential to know these dimensions to ensure that the cooler can fit into your case and doesn't obstruct other components, such as your RAM or graphics card.
7. How big is the ANTEC A40 Pro?
The size of the ANTEC A40 Pro is crucial because it must fit into your computer case without any problems. You can check its height, width, and depth in the product specifications. It's never a bad thing to double-check these measurements when you purchase. You also need to make sure the cooler doesn't come in contact with other components inside your case, such as RAM modules or the side panel. This is particularly important if your case is on the smaller side or if you use taller RAM sticks that require additional clearance.
8. Does the ANTEC A40 Pro come with thermal paste?
Yes, the ANTEC A40 Pro generally arrives with thermal paste already applied on the base of the cooler. Thermal paste facilitates the transfer of heat from your CPU to the cooler more effectively. Its pre application makes installation a simpler process because you don't need to purchase or apply paste yourself. The paste included with the cooler will generally be adequate for most individuals. But some heavy users like to apply their own thermal paste as some manufacturers produce thermal paste with better cooling results for extreme overclocking.
9. What is the TDP of the ANTEC A40 Pro?
The TDP (Thermal Design Power) of the ANTEC A40 Pro indicates how much it can dissipate. TDP is in watts and is perhaps one of the most crucial items to look into when selecting a cooler. You can check the A40 Pro's TDP rating in the product description. Always ensure the cooler's TDP rating is equal to or greater than your CPU's TDP. This will ensure the cooler can support your CPU's heat, keeping your system safe and running well over extended use.
10. Is the ANTEC A40 Pro quiet?
The ANTEC A40 Pro is designed to be a quiet cooler. It also possesses a fan with quiet running, and the heatsink is for noise reduction because it cools the CPU better. Nonetheless, depending on the speed of the fan, the temperature in the room, and how demanding your CPU is, it may or may not be quiet. Under mild activities, the fan will be very silent. But when you're gaming or using resource-intensive programs, the fan will rotate more quickly and may become louder to cool the CPU.
