Frequently asked questions
1. Does the DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT ARGB come with thermal paste?
Yes, the Deepcool Gammaxx GT ARGB generally comes with a little tube of thermal paste added to the packaging. This is customary with most CPU air coolers so that the user has the materials necessary for installation. The type of thermal paste provided is meant to encourage better conductivity of heat between the surface of the CPU and the base of the cooler, as the heat must flow to maintain proper CPU temperatures during operation. This is nothing but better thermal conductivity for enhanced heat dissipation.
2. How many watts can a DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT ARGB handle?
Deepcool does not provide any specific wattage value when considering the cooling capacity of its Gammaxx GT ARGB, whereas this heat sink is defined by a TDP rating (Thermal Design Power). This means that the cooler is designed to manage temperatures generated under moderate thermal loading. Thus, it would work well within a medium load capacity while working on mainstream CPUs. The design of the Gammaxx GT ARGB incorporates four heat pipes for heat transport and an aluminium fin stack for the dissipation of heat. This design therefore supports the overall working of the cooler together and assures an ample amount of cooling to different CPUs.
3. What is the radiator size of the DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT ARGB?
Being an air cooler, Deepcool Gammaxx GT ARGB does not utilize a radiator as found in a liquid cooling system. Instead, it uses a single heatsink tower that is full of aluminium fins. The dimensions of such a tower, height, width, and depth are direct factors that influence overall cooling performance. The fin stack is arranged to maximize the area available to dissipate heat from the CPU.
4. What is the rpm of DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT ARGB fan?
The integrated fan on the Deepcool Gammaxx GT ARGB is a variable RPM fan and can dynamically change its RPM based on CPU temperature. In a nutshell, this means the adaptive fan speed control features allow it to maintain a quiet operation while the CPU is less loaded, and the fan speed increases for maximum cooling when the CPU experiences heavy loads. The RPM specifications are precisely defined in the cooler's specifications, which consequently serves as valuable information for users.
5. Is DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT ARGB good enough?
The Deepcool Gammaxx GT ARGB is an average-performing cooler for mainstream CPU applications and light overclocking. The single-tower architecture offers a balanced approach to cooling efficiency and system build compatibility. The cooler fits users who value moderate cooling performance and aesthetic appeal via ARGB lighting. It, however, remains a great cooler for routine computing and light gaming.
6. What is the TDP of DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT ARGB?
The Deepcool Gammaxx GT ARGB is intended for CPUs with moderate Thermal Design Power (TDP). The TDP rating may vary slightly depending upon different specific revisions of the cooler, but, in general, it is rated to accommodate CPUs within the mid-range segment of the market. Thus, it makes a good choice for a wide variety of processors in common use.
7. Is DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT ARGB PWM or DC?
The Deepcool Gammaxx GT ARGB is powered by PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology, which allows for great flexibility in applying heat. The fan adjusts its speed continuously based on CPU temperature. Compared to DC fans, PWM fans are far more favourable due to their energy-efficient nature and ability to automatically adjust their speed for maximum cooling performance with minimum noise.
8. Is the DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT ARGB Single Tower or dual Tower?
The Deepcool Gammaxx GT ARGB is an air cooler with a single-tower design for CPUs. This means that it contains a single heat sink tower with cooling fins. This design is the common way of making air coolers oriented to mainstream setups, balancing cooling performance against physical dimensions.
9. How big is DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT ARGB?
The Deepcool Gammaxx GT ARGB has been designed to be moderately sized and thus would fit with most ATX-typed computer cases. Cooler specific dimension is 129×86×158 mm(L×W×H). Verify these dimensions so the cooler won't interrupt other components installed on the motherboard once mounted to your computer case.
10. Is DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT ARGB quiet?
Deepcool Gammaxx GT ARGB is meant to remain almost completely silent as long as it's in regular working situations. It's designed as fan and heatsinking assemblies that would keep a limit on the sound level while adequately sufficient cooling capacity. Unfortunately, during very heavy CPU loads, the fan would start to crank up the speed, which somewhat increases the overall sound output by a slight margin. The overall result is that all the noise that the Gammaxx GT ARGB produces is most likely going to be just fine with most users.
