Frequently asked questions
1. What is the TDP of DEEPCOOL AN600?
The Deepcool AN600 TDP refers to how much heat can be dissipated from your CPU by the cooler. This plays an important factor when selecting a CPU cooler. The cooler's performance will degrade if the CPU's TDP surpasses that of the cooler. Make the TDP of AN600 similar or greater to your CPU TDP to keep your CPU away from overheating. It will slow down your CPU or kill it if it's overheating. You can determine the TDP of AN600 on Deepcool's website or at online retailers.
2. Does the DEEPCOOL AN600 come with thermal paste?
Yes, the Deepcool AN600 does have thermal paste pre-applied to the base of the cooler. This is a nice touch because you won't have to purchase or apply paste yourself. Thermal paste serves to transfer heat from the CPU to the cooler by filling minute gaps between the two. Pre-applied paste will be adequate for most. Some individuals, such as gamers or PC enthusiasts, might prefer to use their own high-end paste for optimal cooling.
3. Is DEEPCOOL AN600 PWM or DC?
The Deepcool AN600 has a PWM fan, i.e., Pulse Width Modulation. PWM fans are superior to DC fans because they allow you to control the speed of the fan in a more accurate manner. The speed adjusts automatically according to how hot the CPU is. If the CPU is idle, the fan operates slowly and quietly. The fan rotates at a faster speed when the CPU is heavily utilized to cool the CPU. PWM fans are popular because they are versatile and power-efficient.
4. Is DEEPCOOL AN600 quiet?
The Deepcool AN600 is designed to be silent. Its heatsink and fan are engineered to produce as little noise as possible. But how silent it is relies on factors such as fan speed, how warm your computer gets, and how demanding the CPU is. If your computer is just doing low-level tasks, the AN600 tends to be quiet. However, when gaming or video editing, the CPU becomes more demanding, and the fan runs faster, producing more noise.
5. What is the RPM of DEEPCOOL AN600 fan?
The Deepcool AN600 fan speed is in RPM, meaning how many times it rotates within a minute. The minimum and maximum RPM value of the fan, you can find on Deepcool's site or in product description. Fan speed varies according to how hot the CPU is. Your computer does that for you automatically to cool the CPU. Higher fan speeds provide more cooling but are louder, and slower speeds are less effective but silent.
6. How big is DEEPCOOL AN600?
The DEEPCOOL AN600 size is also crucial to consider while purchasing. Ensure that it offers enough space in your computer case and doesn't obstruct components such as RAM sticks. DEEPCOOL AN600 size in terms of height, width, and depth can be viewed on Deepcool or e-commerce websites. Always double-check measurements to avoid problems. The cooler won't fit if the cooler is too big. The cooler will not cool properly if it is too small. It's a smart thing to take your case's measurement and your space's measurement before buying.
7. What is the radiator size of the DEEPCOOL AN600?
The Deepcool AN600 is an air cooler, and therefore it doesn't include a radiator like liquid coolers. Instead of a radiator, it includes a heatsink with metal fins to cool the CPU. The dimension of the heatsink, which includes its height, width, and depth, is relevant. You can check this information in the product description on Deepcool's website or from retailers. Verifying the heatsink size ensures that it will fit your case and perform well with other components.
8. Is DEEPCOOL AN600 good enough?
The Deepcool AN600 is sufficient for most users, particularly those with mid-range CPUs or minimal overclocking requirements. Its single tower is good enough for effective cooling as well as compact enough to be installed in most computer cases. It is sufficient for CPUs with a TDP that the AN600 can accommodate. But if you have a performance CPU or if you intend heavy overclocking, you may need a larger cooler, such as a dual tower air cooler or liquid cooler, for optimal performance.
9. How many watts can a DEEPCOOL AN600 handle?
The Deepcool AN600's cooling ability is indicated by its TDP rating, and this informs you of the amount of heat that it can transfer. The TDP can be found in product information. It's crucial to choose a cooler that is equal to or greater than your CPU's TDP to prevent overheating. If the cooler is not capable of handling your CPU's heat, your computer may slow down or even be damaged. The AN600 is designed for CPUs with a specific TDP range, so always check before purchasing.
10. Is the DEEPCOOL AN600 Single Tower or Dual Tower?
The Deepcool AN600 is a single tower CPU cooler. That means it has a single tower with metal fins to assist in cooling your CPU. There are dual tower coolers that have two towers and generally cool more effectively, but are larger and more difficult to install at times. Single tower coolers such as the AN600 are smaller, allowing for more room for other components such as RAM. They cool well without taking up excessive space, and so are ideal for most systems.
