Description
Features of DEEPCOOL AN400 Single Tower 92mm CPU Air Cooler ( Black )
The DEEPCOOL AN400 Single Tower 95mm CPU Air Cooler ( Black ) is a 4-heatpipe low-profile air cooler that provides 150W of TDP in a compact heatsink. With unobstructed clearance for RAM modules, and a top-down air flow, the AN400 is a great option for everything down to small ITX builds.
Passive Airflow
The top-down design has the added benefit of providing passive airflow to the surrounding VRMs around the CPU.
Simplified Support
The all-metal back plate is easy to install and evenly distributes pressure from the rear of the motherboard, while providing reinforcement behind the CPU socket.
Small But Capable
Equipped with a slim 92mm PWM-enabled FDB fan and a visible 3-phase 6-slot 4-pole motor, the AN400 can spin up to a staggering 2950 RPM while staying below 23.2 dB(A).
Compact And Feature Rich
With 62 nickel-plated aluminum fins, 4 optimized heatpipes, and a raised copper cold plate, the AN400 packs a lot of cooling potential in a small 53mm tall CPU cooler.

Frequently asked questions
1. Does the DEEPCOOL AN400 come with thermal paste?
Users will find thermal paste already applied to the base of the DEEPCOOL AN400 at the time of purchase. The pre-applied thermal paste makes both installation and heat transfer performance more efficient by providing better contact between the CPU and cooler. The pre-applied paste on the cooler meets the thermal requirements of most users.
2. What is the TDP of DEEPCOOL AN400?
The DEEPCOOL AN400 operates with a maximum thermal power consumption of 150W. The controller system in this product supports CPUs that generate temperatures up to 150 watts. The specified TDP rating indicates the cooler suits processors ranging from mid-range to selected higher-end models.
3. Is DEEPCOOL AN400 quiet?
The DEEPCOOL AN400 focuses on delivering quiet operation to users. The 92mm fan incorporates special blade design to reduce noise production while sustaining high airflow. The fan operates quietly when the RPMs stay low. When the fan encounters heavier system loads it picks up speed to keep the CPU cool so its noise output increases proportionately.
4. What is the rpm of DEEPCOOL AN400 fan?
The DEEPCOOL AN400 fan operates between 500 RPM and 2950 RPM to control its speed. The extensive RPM range enables the fan to run silently at minimal speeds when the CPU has low demands but automatically shift to higher speeds for better cooling performance. CPU temperature levels automatically determine the speed at which the fan operates.
5. Is DEEPCOOL AN400 PWM or DC?
The DEEPCOOL AN400 fan operates under PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control. PWM fans provide better speed adjustment capabilities than conventional DC fans. PWM technology allows users to automatically control fan speeds according to CPU temperature which improves both acoustic performance and thermal regulation during critical situations.
6. What is the radiator size of the DEEPCOOL AN400?
As an air cooler the DEEPCOOL AN400 does not include a radiator unit. The heating process of air coolers depends on heatsinks and fans instead of the radiator system used by liquid coolers. The DEEPCOOL AN400 reduces CPU temperatures through its aluminum heatsink with fins together with the 92mm fan.
7. How big is DEEPCOOL AN400?
The dimensions of the DEEPCOOL AN400 measure at 94mm width, 57mm depth and 122mm height. This cooler works best in compact PC cases that might experience space limitations. Always verify your case's clearance requirements before buying particularly the space available for the CPU cooler.
8. Is the DEEPCOOL AN400 Single Tower or Dual Tower?
The DEEPCOOL AN400 operates with a single cooling tower design. Single-tower cooling solutions are widely used for processors in the mainstream category because they deliver effective heat management within compact dimensions. Dual-tower coolers function better than single-tower options yet require more space and are mainly suitable for powerful processors.
9. How many watts can a DEEPCOOL AN400 handle?
The DEEPCOOL AN400 was engineered to cool CPUs that generate heat at a maximum TDP of 150W according to the previous information. The TDP measurement indicates the highest amount of CPU-generated heat which a cooling system needs to handle. The cooling performance of your CPU depends on maintaining a TDP value which should be at or below this specification.
10. Is DEEPCOOL AN400 good enough?
The DEEPCOOL AN400 functions well as a heat dissipator for users owning standard CPUs and requiring average heat management. The cooling system delivers satisfactory performance for standard computing tasks while maintaining its small size suitable for compact case dimensions. Users who seek an ideal blend of cooling abilities along with noise reduction and affordability alongside compact dimensions will find the DEEPCOOL AN400 an excellent choice.
