Overview - Best Photo Editing PC Build Under 40K INR

Processor: In photo editing, the processor plays the most important role. So, we are going with the Intel Core i5 12400. This is literally the best-performing processor that we can manage to get for a PC build under 40K INR right now, and hence we are going for this. As for specifications, this 12th Generation processor comes with 6 cores, 12 threads, and a 4.7GHz boost clock.

Motherboard: Now, for the motherboard, since we have a small budget, we just want something that’s reliable and has all the necessary features. The MSI Pro H610M-E is just one such motherboard. As for specifications and features, it comes with DDR4 memory support with speeds up to 3200MHz, optimized digital power design, USB 3.2 Gen1, and a lot more.

RAM: The Adata XPG Gammix D30 DDR4 16GB (8GB x 2) 3200MHz RAM kit is going to take care of the memory/RAM department in this configuration. For an entry-level and even mid-range photo editing configuration, 16GB of DDR4 memory will be more than enough.

Graphics Card: Now, the graphic card does play a role in photo editing, but it's not too major. Plus, we are on a really tight budget. So, we are not using any dedicated graphics card and just using the integrated GPU of the i5 12400, the Intel UHD 730. For an entry-level photo editing PC build like this, this is going to be just fine.

CPU Cooler: The Intel Core i5 12400 is quite efficient, and thus it does not heat too much. Not to mention, we are on a tight budget as well. So, we are just sticking with the stock cooler.

SSD: For the storage, we are going with the Western Digital Blue SN580 500GB SSD. This is an M.2 NVMe Gen4 SSD which is quite fast, and the 500GB storage is going to be more than enough for most users.

SMPS: Since this is an entry-level photo editing PC build, we don’t need a high-wattage PSU. Any good and reliable 450-watt PSU will be just fine. We are using the Cooler Master MWE 450 V2 specifically. It has 80+ Bronze certification to ensure good efficiency, and you obviously get the trust and reliability of CoolerMaster with this.

Case: The Gamdias Athena E1 Elite is going to be our case/cabinet for this build. When it comes to the cabinet we need something that looks stylish and also has good airflow and practicality. All of that is taken care of in the Gamdias Athena E1 Elite. As for specifications and features, this cabinet comes with a tempered glass side panel, two pre-installed 120mm fans (one of which is an ARGB fan), 240mm radiator support, ample space to support up to four 120mm fans, and up to 340mm long graphics cards.

Conclusion - Best Photo Editing PC Build Below 40K INR

When you are building a PC configuration for photo editing and are planning on using applications like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator primarily, you need a decently powerful processor with an ample amount of memory/RAM. That’s why we spent most of our budget on the processor and the RAM.

With this configuration, you get a combination of Intel Core i5 12400 and 16GB of 3200MHz DDR4 memory thanks to the Adata XPG Gammix D30 DDR4 16GB (8GB x 2) 3200MHz RAM kit. This type of combination ensures that you get one of the best photo editing experiences when it comes to a PC configuration below 40K INR.
