Processor: For the processor, we are going with the Intel Core i5 14400F. Right now, for mid-range gaming PC builds, the 14400F is undoubtedly one of the best options to consider with its 10 cores (6 P-Cores and 4 E-Cores), 16 threads, and 4.7GHz boost clock.
Motherboard: MSI Pro B760M-P is the motherboard for this VR gaming PC build. It comes with support for up to 192GB DDR5 memory with speeds up to 6800MHz, performance-oriented features like Core Boost, Memory Boost, etc., PCIe Gen 4, and a lot more.
RAM: To ensure a smooth virtual reality gaming experience, we recommend using 32GB of RAM. The Adata XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 32GB (16GB x 2) 5200MHz RAM kit takes care of the memory requirements.
Graphics Card: The MSI GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8GB OC, just like every RTX 4060 out there is a solid graphic card for mid-range gaming PC builds. Now, when it comes to VR, it’s not the best, but it gets the job done and is pretty much the best card that you can get in this budget.
CPU Cooler: The i5 14400F is quite efficient, but during heavy load and gaming, it can get a bit heated up. To make sure that the temperatures don’t get too high, we have the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Spectrum V3 air cooler.
SSD: Just like in the case of any gaming PC, we want a storage device that not only has ample capacity but is also pretty fast. And, the Western Digital Blue SN580 1TB M.2 NVMe is just that.
SMPS: Now, since we are using mid-range components in this build, a 550-watt PSU will be sufficient, and we recommend the Cooler Master MWE 550W V2 in that regard. It comes with 80+ Bronze certification, uses reliable internal components, and is just perfect for a build like this.
Case: Lastly, for the cabinet, we got the Ant Esports Crystal X2 ARGB. This cabinet has a unique and distinct design thanks to its panoramic glass design. It also comes with three pre-installed ARGB fans that improve the overall aesthetics. Apart from that, with this cabinet, you will get enough space for up to five 120mm fans, a 240mm radiator, and a 300mm long graphic card. Overall, it’s certainly one of the most unique options when it comes to cabinets in its price range.
Now, when it comes to gaming performance, this PC is quite capable when it comes to playing VR games in medium to high graphic settings. The VR gaming performance will be enjoyable, and it’s technically the best performance that you can get right now when you are looking at a VR gaming PC under 1 Lakh INR.
With 1 lakh INR, it’s quite understandable and logical that you won’t get the ultimate gaming PC for playing VR games, since you need an even more powerful hardware configuration. But, that does not mean that this 1 lakh budget VR gaming PC configuration is weak by any means.
As we mentioned before, you will still be able to have an enjoyable VR gaming experience with the PC configuration we discussed above, but it would obviously be not as good as the experience that you would get with more expensive configurations. And, with a budget of around 1 lakh INR, this is as good as it gets right now in 2024.
The chart below will give you an idea of the type of gaming experience that you will get with this configuration when you are playing normal non-VR games.
