Best DaVinci Resolve Video Editing PC Under 1 Lakh INR in 2024

Processor: The AMD Ryzen 5 7600X is the best mid-range processor of the Zen 4 lineup, and even now continues to be one of the go-to processors for many. This is a great processor in terms of performance, and for that reason, it’s still used in many professional video editing and gaming PC builds. As for specifications, this processor comes with 6 cores, 12 threads, and a 5.3GHz boost clock.

Motherboard: For the motherboard, we are going with the MSI Pro B650M-P DDR5. This motherboard, being a B-series motherboard, will allow us to overclock the 7600X for even better performance. And, apart from that, it has various special features like Core Boost (optimized digital power design), DDR5 memory support with speeds up to 7200MHz, USB 3.2 Gen2, fast wireless connectivity options, PCIe Gen 5, optimized VRM layout, and a lot more.

RAM: We need ample memory and it needs to be fast as well for a smooth experience in DaVinci Resolve. With the Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32GB (16GB x 2) 5200MHz RAM kit, both of these get taken care of, and it ensures that our RAM/memory is not a hurdle in any way when it comes to performance.

Graphics Card: Due to the various graphic-intensive video effects and all, we need a capable and powerful graphic card. And, based on our budget, the RTX 4060 Ti is the best card for this. We are specifically using the MSI RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 2X Black OC due to its high clock speed and great thermal performance.

CPU Cooler: Now, being a very powerful processor, the 7600X does heat up significantly when it's under load. And, to ensure that these temperatures don’t get too high we have the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Spectrum V3 cooler. This air cooler is quite capable in terms of raw cooling performance and will keep the temperatures of the CPU under check at all times. Apart from that, the unique styling and ARGB lighting make this cooler and even better option.

Storage: For the storage device, we are going with the Crucial P3 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD. This SSD is quite fast, and 500GB of storage should be good enough for most out there.

SMPS: The MSI MAG A650BN is the PSU that we are going with for this video editing PC build. Based on the components that we are using, a good quality 650-watt PSU like the A650BN will be perfect and that’s why we are using it.

Case: Lastly, when it comes to the cabinet, we are going with the MSI MAG Forge 112R ARGB. This comes with a clean, simple, yet stylish design, and has great airflow thanks to the mesh front panel. The tempered glass window makes it even better in terms of aesthetics, and the four pre-installed 120mm ARGB fans ensure that airflow is not an issue. As for space, you get plenty of it with this cabinet and can install up to six 120mm fans, a 240mm radiator, and a graphic card with a length of up to 330mm.

Now, when you are spending around 1 Lakh INR for a video editing PC, you will definitely expect it to be good when it comes to performance. And, in that department, this PC configuration delivers quite well. The combination of the Ryzen 5 7600X, the RTX 4060 Ti, and 32GB of fast DDR5 5200MHz memory makes this configuration very much apt for video editing in DaVinci Resolve.

DaVinci Resolve is one of those applications where you need to ensure that all the components are capable and powerful, to ensure that you get the optimal performance and experience. Our PC configuration is definitely optimal, and hence perfect for this software.

With this configuration, you will be able to edit high resolution video files, and also play around with unique effects, and do other video-editing-related stuff that you want without much of an issue. But, then again, this is not the best and is somewhat upper-mid range at best. So, be realistic with your expectations.
