Processor: For the processor, we chose the Intel Core i7 14700KF and this is one of the best i7 processors released ever. As for specifications, you get a 5.6GHz boost clock, 20 cores (8 P-Cores and 12 E-Cores), and 28 threads, making it great in terms of gaming performance. And, it can even be overclocked, if you have a Z-series motherboard.
Motherboard: Since we have a high-end 4K gaming PC build here, we recommend using a Z-series motherboard, the MSI Pro Z790-A WiFi DDR5 specifically, as using this we can overclock the processor for better performance. Apart from that, this motherboard comes with up to 256GB of DDR5 RAM support with speeds up to 7200MHz, reinforced PCIe slot, PCIe Gen 5 support, USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, high-speed wireless connectivity, and a lot of other special features.
RAM: Adata XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 64GB (32GB x 2) 6000MHz is a high-performance RAM kit that’s perfect for use in such gaming PC builds. 64GB of DDR5 memory with a frequency of 6000MHz will ensure a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience.
Graphics Card: The graphic card that we are using in this build is the Zotac GeForce RTX 4080 Trinity OC 16GB. Just like any other RTX 4080 out there, this card is more than capable of playing games in 4K and is one of the best cards out there in the market for gaming right now.
CPU Cooler: Being a very powerful processor, the Intel Core i7 14700KF does get heated up a lot during heavy loads. To ensure that the temperatures are in check and there are no issues of overheating or thermal throttling, we got the MSI MAG Coreliquid E360 ARGB. This 360mm ARGB liquid cooler not only looks amazing with its unique block design and ARGB lighting but is also very much capable of cooling the 14700KF.
Storage: For such a high-end gaming PC, we want a storage device that’s fast, snappy, and at the same time has enough capacity to store multiple games. The Western Digital Blue SN580 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD ticks all these boxes.
SMPS: The combination of 14700KF and RTX 4080 makes this build quite power-hungry, and thus we want a 1000-watt PSU, when it comes to this segment, the MSI MPG A1000G 1000W is an amazing choice. This ATX 3.0 PSU comes with 80+ Gold certification and is also fully modular, making it a great option to consider.
Case, Fans, and Accessories: To ensure that our build looks as good as it performs we got the Lian Li O11 Dynamic cabinet and we have added six Cooler Master CF120 ARGB Fans and the Deepcool FH-04 fan hub.
With Intel Core i7 14700KF, 32GB of DDR5 6000MHz RAM from ADATA, and the Zotac GeForce RTX 4080 Trinity OC, gaming performance is not a matter of concern at all. You can play all the newest releases in the highest graphic settings at 4K resolution without any issues whatsoever with this configuration. And, you will get 60+ FPS consistently.
As for eSports titles like Valorant, CS2, DOTA 2, etc., you will always get triple-digit frame rates regardless of the settings and resolution. The chart below will give you a good idea of the type of gaming performance that you will get.
