500GB SSD
A 500GB SSD is often considered to be the sweet spot for most out there. The reason for this is simple, it is not as expensive as the higher-storage models, and it has a lot of storage space than the lower-storage models. Due to this, this size has the best of both worlds. With this capacity of storage inside your SSD, you can have your operating system, a number of games, and even some of your most frequently-used applications. And, in terms of the price of such SSD, 500GB SSD price in India starts from around 4000 INR.
However, the price also depends on the interface of the SSD. Price of 500GB NVME SSD is more than that of a SATA SSD. But, with that, you also get better, and faster performance. Other than that, brands are also a factor when it comes to the price of the SSD. SSD from certain manufacturers and brands is more expensive than the others.
Here at EliteHubs, we have a huge selection of SSD, regardless of the interface type, form factor, and brand. Be it a SATA, NVME, M.2, or PCI-E SSD, we have it all. Furthermore, our pricing is one of the best in India as well. So, if you are looking to get SSD at the best price in India, do check out our store.
Value
The main advantage of getting a 500GB SSD is the balance of storage space and price that you get. SSD (Solid State Drive) is expensive, there is nothing new in that. However, in terms of value, the 500GB SSD has some of the best value out there. These are neither too expensive, nor too cheap, and yet have plenty of storage. For this reason, this SSD storage size is one of the most popular options out there.
SATA vs M.2 vs NVME
500GB SSD can either be a SATA, M.2, or NVME. Now, there is a misconception that all M.2 drives are faster than SATA variants. But, that is not the case. SATA SSD is available in both 2.5-inch and M.2 form factors. The performance levels of both of these are the same. So, in between 2.5-inch SATA, and M.2 SATA, get whichever one you feel like. But, do keep in mind for 2.5-inch, you would need an additional PSU power cable, and also a SATA cable. For M.2, you can plug it directly into your motherboard in the M.2 slot.
In terms of performance, the difference is only there when a SATA SSD is being compared with an NVME SSD. A 500 GB NVME SSD is significantly faster than a 500GB SATA SSD. However, the NVME option is also a lot more expensive than the SATA variant. So, if the price is not an issue, and you want the best levels of speed, then NVME is for you. If you are concerned about our budget, then SATA is what you should be opting for.
